I like that it has an upward facing speaker which fill the room with sound. And it gives you very precise volume control so you can find the lowest possible volume that still works.
Powerful noise blocking. Suitable for larger spaces
The sound quality is superb and no looping is excellent
You can pick between fan sounds, or from a spectrum of pink, brown, or white noise. You can crank it up to a whopping 85 decibels or keep it low enough to barely be heard at all.

The LectroFan is a superb white noise machine. It’s extremely effective at blocking out noise from your surroundings, and balances features with convenience.
It can play white noise continuously, but also features a timer, fading the sound out after the preset duration. The timer can be set in increments of 60 minutes.
What reviewers didn't like
There’s just one auto-off timer option of 60 minutes. This is somewhat lacking compared to devices like the Avantek or Sound+Sleep, but it’s still good to have at least one timer.
No pre recorded nature simulations
The ‘LectroFan is not battery powered
Since the LectroFan is so small, we wish it had a built-in battery, which would be helpful for travel or if you don’t have an outlet nearby.
One thing this sound machine does not have, is natural sounds. There are no water sounds which many people find very soothing.
This white noise machine also has a timer so that it will automatically turn off, but the only option is 60 minutes.
It doesn't cancel out noises at a short distance, such as snoring

The LectroFan doesn’t have any nature sounds.
We do wish the LectroFan used batteries (like AA batteries), but we felt that the quality of the digital noise could be affected if we used batteries then the battery was low in power or if owners of LectroFan used weak batteries.
Power cord feels loose
The LectroFan doesn't have many extra features aside from a 60-minute sleep timer, but for some people, simplicity is the best feature.
