Another good thing about this filter is that it has low maintenance. There’s no need to clean the filters frequently, and a single filter can purify up to 750 gallons of water.
The 5-stage APEX filter is awesome, but a nice feature of this model is that it will accept 10″ size filters from other manufacturers too. For example, if you decide that you need a filter that is effective in removing fluoride then you are free to use it.

Installation of the APEX water filter is simple. Attach a diverter to your faucet, then attach the hose that runs from the back of the filtration unit to the diverter. After that, your filtration unit is ready for use.

Filter’s tube gets in the way of the faucet.
One drawback to the APEX, the hose that attaches the faucet to the filtration unit seems longer than necessary. As a result, it can become a nuisance in tight countertop spaces.

Design Could Be Better – Even though this is a good water filter, its design could be improved. As it is, the filter’s tube can get in your way when using the faucet
The lifespan of the filter is relatively short as compared to the New Wave Enviro Countertop Drinking Water Filter. Hence, it sky-rocketed the annual maintenance cost to $90 per year.
Some commented that the design could be improved to make sure that the filter tube doesn’t block the way when using the faucet. A few also reported trouble getting the unit open in order to change the filter.
