What reviewers didn't like

It's a pain to wash by hand and fits poorly in the dishwasher. Also, the lower part of the brewer is not well insulated, so be careful with your fingers.
It isn’t the best filter, though, and makes coffee that tastes and feels a little like French press coffee.
Carafe lacks measuring marks
- Heavy
There are quite a few extra features to keep track of.
Not a great option for traveling due to size and glass material
Made from Borosilicate glass, the carafe is heat-resistant but not as durable as touted by the manufacturer.
-
The globe-shaped carafe makes it a little tricky to get the last few drops out when you’re pouring the last cup, and it certainly makes hand cleaning it trickier.
The glass is rather brittle so we recommend you handle your Bodum with care.
If you don’t handle the coffee maker with care, you may burn your hands. Be full attentive while working with the machine.
And while it does leave some amount of sediment, you won’t notice it unless you drink the last 10% or so of the coffee in the bottom.
Although some users might find the carafe a little awkward to hold and pour the hot coffee, once you do it a few times you will get the hang of it.
On the downside, the metal offers no insulation and your coffee may lose heat.
