Expert Reviews
What reviewers liked
Excellent build quality. Easy to set up and take down. 15-amp motor produces 4 hp.
The motor in the Bosch 4100-09 is strong, solid, and relatively quiet. With proper care this motor should last quite a while.
As far as the durability goes, it’s great. The materials used in the production of various components are sturdy and also quite reliable.
Our favorite feature was the gravity rise design that allows you to push the device around easily and focus more on getting the job done instead of wasting time trying to set up a complicated device.
I couldn’t find any serious negatives about the Bosch 4100-09, and I think this is one of the best table saws in its class. In fact it may be the very best.
This Bosch table saw runs a 4 hp motor, which is more powerful than many others.
The construction of this Bosch 4100-09 is specially designed for portability. It’s perfect to transport to any of your worksite with less effort required.
Even better, it features a slim frame when folded up, which makes it easy to store. It is a portable table saw, but it is able to rip lumber up to 40.5” long, which is about what you’d expect for a stationary model.
What reviewers didn't like
Pneumatic tires may become punctured at construction site. Warranty lasts just one year.
However, over time this coating has a tendency to wear, and if you use it enough, this could cause an issue if you have a cut that requires precise accuracy.
The dust-collecting port is positioned out of the user’s way which means you won’t have unpleasant experiences with sawdust flying around. While it has a pretty good collecting port, you can expect some debris to fly around the work area.
It’s really difficult to find a great fence on any sort of portable saw, and unfortunately the Bosch 4100-09 is no exception.
The only thing that I don’t like about this table saw is that it tosses saw dust everywhere. I have read about this issue in some other reviews so I always have a vacuum cleaner standing by to take up the saw dust after work.
The one downside is that it comes with a cheap miter gauge, which isn’t that big of a deal since most people use an aftermarket miter gauge.
