Expert Reviews

What reviewers liked

For an emergency or tailgate party, it is an excellent little propane cylinder stove. The top is well made stainless steel with wind baffles, works well as a side stove top. Very impressed with the construction and the versatility of this cylinder stove. It is easy to set up and store away,
An extra-wide base minimizes the occurrence of wobbling, making it a great choice for stirring and sauteing.
Despite its efficient size, it can fit an eight-inch pan on the fully adjustable burner, which produces up to 10,000 BTUs of cooking power.
Flame control is remarkably easy with this stove, just twist that large plastic knob all the way open for a roaring 10,000-BTU output or dial it back for hours of simmering. And thanks to the deep bowl shape and generous wind baffles, this stove will maintain a consistent burn in all but the most powerful gusts of wind.
Has an adjustable burner. Durable circular pot stands instead of individual folding arms. Compatible with Coleman 16.4 oz. propane cylinder. Takes about 3 minutes to boil 500ml of water.
This stove is highly fuel efficient - giving you quite of bit of cooking time off of one propane canister. Rated great for long lifespan and solid durability. Is compatible with Coleman’s standard propane canisters which are one of the cheaper options in camp stove fuel.

Uses PerfectHeat and PerfectFlow technologies for efficient and even cooking. Adjustable burner. Screws onto a propane canister, and provides 10,000 BTUs of cooking power. Baffles offer protection from the wind. Weight of the stove and canister is just under 3 1/2 lb. Comes with a carry box. Boils a quart of water in 4 minutes.
The burner can be adjusted and fits an 8in pan easily. The stove runs on the 16.4oz Coleman propane bottle and both the burner and base can be separated from the fuel bottle. It also has wind baffles for cooking in windy areas.
Performance-wise this is impressive; the burner can put out 10,000 BTU at full power, and it’s also easy to adjust the output.
Another benefit of this stove is that it is easy to assemble. The base, which helps to create a sturdier working surface, contains the propane tank (that forms the body) and the burner attaches on top of that.
It is so high performance for a small size burner.

What reviewers didn't like

Control knob is finicky
Very heavy and bulky.
Not as light or compact as other portable canister stoves.
Fairly heavy to backpack with. The platform for the canister takes up a considerable amount of space if trying to pack light. A bit outdatted considering all the new stoves on the market - but sometimes old is best.
- Heavy
Some reports of quality issues involving the plastic parts (break easily) and the screw threads (poor meal, strips easily). Flame contol is not great; can't adjust it low enough to prevent burning.
Doesn’t have a friction light.
Apparently, the low setting does not go low enough for simmering purposes (e.g. for cooking rice) and you have a risk of burning your food in such situations.
