Difficulties when cooking a thick steak. With long-term use, the nonstick surface comes off.
The only downside we experienced with this grill is that it heated unevenly; you’ll need to wait several minutes (around 10 minutes) for the entire griddle/grill to reach the same temp before starting your cooking.
The hinged cover could get loose with time.
The buttons detaching the plates are rather flimsy.
There are disadvantages to using porcelain-enameled cast iron, however. The first one is that it takes a little long to heat up. It may take up to twenty minutes for the grill to reach the desired temperature.
