What reviewers liked

What really sets this smaller play gym apart is the piano keyboard that plays notes when your baby kicks or pats the keys—they love learning cause and effect! Five toys attach overhead for when your little one is on their back, or you can attach them to the mat to make tummy time more entertaining. When your baby starts sitting up, you can detach the keyboard so they can still pound away at the piano keys to hear short songs about animals and learn about colors, shapes and numbers.
Experts love this multifunctional mat that combines a reposition-able arch with hanging toys like teethers and rattles, and a light-up, music-playing keyboard. Sandra Gordon, founder of baby-gear review site Baby Products Mom said the mini-piano is “a fun way to help your baby learn cause and effect, as in ‘if I kick the keys, they light up.’ It’s fun to watch, too.”
This baby mat is pretty much all-around great, rave parents. There’s a large keyboard with light-up keys. And you can move five toys around: the mirror, the teether, a crinkle panda, a lion rattle and monkey cymbal clackers.
A must have. Great for tummy time and as your baby ages, it increases sensory development as well as creating a response when the baby kicks the keyboard. Colorful and easy to transport when traveling.
Tummy time becomes infinitely more fun (for baby and parent!) with this play mat. The gym includes a piano and five hanging toys: an infant mirror, an elephant with a clacker, a frog with a rolling ball, a tiger and a hippo teether, each with different textures and colors.
What we really like about this musical play mat is that the learning content can be changed with baby's age and stage using the Smart Stages technology. At newborn stage, use the Sense stage which plays up to 20 minutes of continuous playful music, lights and sounds to engage and stimulate their senses before switching to Discover at 3 months +, a series of short songs about animals and the sounds they make. When baby reaches 6 months, it is time to Explore with songs and phrases that introduce colours, shapes and numbers. Bonus: the large keyboard with 5 light-up keys can be removed and take along for play - it presses for real piano notes!
For your Mozart-in-training, the Kick and Play Piano Gym from Fisher-Price is the perfect choice. Laying down, younger babies learn cause and effect as they kick and the piano plays. The overhead toys hang low so little arms can reach them. And older babies can sit at the piano and bang away at the keys to activate the music.
