The Holmes space heater even features a dehumidifier option, which is great for bathrooms without an installed ventilation fan.
The Holmes HFH436WGL-UM is a bathroom-safe heater that we considered in previous years and again in 2018.
Has Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter. Either a GFCI plug or wall receptacle is necessary around water, such as in bathrooms or kitchens, where the chance for electrical shock is greater.
The first thing you notice when you remove this heater from its box is the weight. At less than 3-1/2 pounds, this Holmes ceramic heater is as light as a picture you would hang on the wall. Which is a good thing, because the Holmes Bathroom Heater is meant to be hung on the wall. The tab on the back of the unit hooks to a supplied mounting bracket to fasten the unit securely into place.
Can be mounted on wall if desired, making it easy to locate in small rooms with limited counter space.
What reviewers didn't like
No tip-over shutoff feature.
Although the bathroom design is a nice touch, this model suffers from weak reviews, and it has limited availability at high prices.
Slightly louder than other models tested.
If you do unplug the unit, the clock and timer will need to be completely reset.
Lowest thermostat setting is 65 degrees Fahrenheit, which can be higher than necessary for some uses.
