From The Manufacturer
We, here at MAVA, spent years perfecting our super popular Knee Wraps, utilizing a high-stretch material optimized for superior casting and rebound. The new Mava Knee Wraps provide support on all variants of squats and Oly moves. These also add protection while handling heavy weight on strongman implements. They relieve stress on sore knees while also helping reduce the risk of more serious injuries. The reason MAVA knee wraps are so highly valued by powerlifters is that they allow more weight to be lifted in the squat. During the eccentric (downwards) phase of the squat, the tightness of the wraps allow for a high amount of elastic energy to be stored, which can subsequently be released during the concentric (upwards) phase resulting in heavier and faster squats.
Expert Reviews
What reviewers liked
These are some really good high compression knee wraps that will offer you more support than you need to lift some really heavy weights. They come with a decent price tag, they are comfortable, easy to put on, and they stay on too.
The best knee wraps when it comes to comfort. They will not slip while working out and are easily adjustable according to your compression needs.
The elastic and compression wraps come in a pair and offer maximum flexibility and stretch. They measure 72 inches long but don’t worry if you think they’ll be too big. The wraps feature a hook and loop closure so there will be no annoying loose ends, while providing a secure, comfortable fit so you can concentrate fully on your lift.
The 72-inch elastic straps can be easily adjusted to the desired tension through it hook-and-loop system. It stays in place and doesn’t roll down no matter how tough your training routines get.
Also works great for recovery and prevents injury. It comes in 9 different patterns to choose from. Flexible fastening makes it easy to put on.
What reviewers didn't like
Stitching may come loose after prolonged use
May shrink after repeated use. A tendency to bunch up behind the knees.
On the pricey side for wraps. Some users felt they were too flexible for powerlifting. Wraps can be difficult to get a secure fit sometimes.
Those with thicker legs, however, will find that this wrap may be just below the knee cap. Not very comfortable when wrapped very tightly.
