From The Manufacturer

Store your GameCube game progress and carry with you everywhere. This Memory Card allows you to save up to 251 blocks of game information. That’s more than four times the memory of GCN Memory Card 59. The number of blocks needed to save your game information will vary from game to game. You will only be able to save or load game information for games that are designed to use Memory Cards. Please read the Game Disc instruction booklet for the game you are playing for more information about how to save game information and how many blocks are needed for that specific game.

Expert Reviews

What reviewers liked

I don't have any sports games that try to hog up space, so I would say a 251 is a good bet.
Several transfer and copy tests were done from and to the official 251 memory card.

The Memory Card 251 is a good buy at only $20 per card, but now there's Memory Card 1019 for only $30.

What reviewers didn't like

If you expect to buy a lot of games (now and in the future), just go for the 1019 one.
