Expert Reviews
What reviewers liked
Uses a low speed to keep the temperature down during extraction so juice lasts longer. Larger feed chute than similar models helps cut down on prep time. Performs other kitchen tasks, including preparing nut butters and grinding coffee and spices.
Juicers like the NC800 are often sought after because of their ability to process thick, leafy greens like kale, spinach, parsley, and wheatgrass.
An 80-rpm motor rotation is what gives this juicer its cold-press quality. The juicer does not overheat during the process or allow in oxygen, which could degrade your juice.
To maximize your juice yield by 7% to 13%, Omega has added attachments with five settings that control the back pressures.
The real standout of this unit is its flexibility, though. You can use it as a juicer, to extrude pasta, to grind up coffee and your favorite spices, and even to make baby food, frozen desserts, or salsa.
Clean up after juicing is a breeze as you can keep parts in the high rack of the dishwasher.
It is capable of dealing with both soft and hard product thanks to the end cap
The feed chute is larger in the NC800 / NC900 than in any of their other horizontal masticating juicers.
What reviewers didn't like
Ingredients can get sometimes stuck, so you have to alternate between soft and hard items to push softer ingredients through.
One area where it may not live up to its promises is in the producing of soy milk or nut milk.
As much as the feeding tube is sizeable, the ejection spout clogs if you do not chop up your ingredients.
You can make soy milk and nut milk with this machine but it is not optimal for that use.
Expensive but product functions and quality justifies the price
It has a big footprint, which might make it tricky to find a location for it
The slow juicing mechanism has so many great benefits – the only downside is that it’s slower than other juicers.
