The biggest reason why is the cutting head, under each rotary are “closecut” blades that cuts up to 25% closer (according to Philips) and are “self-sharpening” which means it will stay sharp for a year but it will eventually wear out.
The shaver contains a close-cut blade system. The blades have been precision-engineered to get you a good close shave every morning. The blades are durable and will last for a long time before you need to replace the rotary head.

Motor is not as powerful as some high-end models. Will not operate in corded mode. Long charge time.
You can’t use this variant for wet shaving.
Regarding the charging, it takes a whopping 8 hours. Long charging time is still one of the main drawbacks of some Norelco budget shavers. This wouldn’t be such a big deal if the shaver could also be used while charging, but with the 2100 that’s not possible.

Poor Battery: If you are planning to buy this unit for travel, it will disappoint you. It lasts only up to 35 minutes when fully charged. Even when the unit lasts short on battery, it takes up to eight hours to charge fully.
