Expert Reviews

What reviewers liked

One of the more affordable king mattresses on the market, but that doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice quality. It has multiple layers of foam, including memory foam, for plenty of support and cushioning, but what really sets it apart is the fact that it’s infused with green tea and natural castor seed oil to fight odors and bacteria for the freshest sleeping experience around.
Our testers preferred it to some mattresses that cost three or four times the price. It has a nice, squishy surface—which makes it good for side-sleepers—but also offers good support and motion isolation.
This mattress is priced to fit almost any budget and contains pressure-relieving memory materials that often cost hundreds more in retail stores.
This mattress absorbs motion very well. This mattress is on par with most newer memory foam mattresses I have slept on in term of heat retention. I tested this mattress out in July and did not find myself waking up hot.
It is one of the CertiPur-US certified products, and uses biofoam. In addition to this, the 12-inch mattress has a cooling gel feature to keep you cool all night while you sleep.
Its Pressure Relief Green Tea Memory Foam Queen Mattress places No. 13 in our Best Mattresses of 2020 rating. With its price tag under $200 for a queen, this all-foam mattress is the cheapest product in our rating of the best mattresses.
Similar to its elder bro, it features a blend of gel to boost heat dispersion for a cool sleep experience. In addition, it has green tea extract and castor seed oil. These 2 components aim at eliminating odors and keeping bacteria at bay.

What reviewers didn't like

The cover, known as a “sock” because it simply encases the mattress, feels much flimsier than that of the Novaform ComfortGrande or the Tuft & Needle Original, and we don’t think the foam is dense enough for people who weigh over 200 pounds. Some owner reviews complain that the Zinus runs warm.
It may feel too warm. If you are someone who sleeps exceptionally hot, you may want to upgrade to the company’s cooling gel addition.
For heavier people, you'll need a thicker mattress. This one may sag over time.
Not Recommended For: Side sleepers who need softer layers; Those who prefer more edge support; Sleepers who prefer the bouncy feel of a spring mattress.
You’ll need a solid base to curb the issue of sagging. Can get hot.
